How to enable Proximity/Presence data from Analytics4WiFi

You can confirm your environment under Operator Customizations.

The following instructions describe how to enable the Analytics4WiFi Presence/Proximity integration to a Marketing4WiFi hotspot. This guide assumes your Marketing4WiFi and Analytics4WiFi hotspots are already live with the same access point MACs entered into both platforms.

  1. Login to the Marketing4WiFi dashboard.
  2. Collect the desired API Token.

Decide if you will use your operator API Token or the Client API Token before proceeding.

    • The Opeartor API Token can be found on the Operator Customizations page, and will allow data to enter any Marketing4WiFi hotspot if the webhook enabled Analytics4WiFi hotspot’s Node MAC matches a Gateway MAC in Marketing4WiFi.
    • The Client API Token can be found on the Edit Client page, and will allow data to enter the client’s hotspots if the webhook enabled Analytics4WiFi hotspot’s Node MAC matches a Gateway MAC in Marketing4WiFi.

  3. Go to the desired client’s Edit Client page, enable Presence/Proximity for the client. Submit the page.
  4. Go to the desired hotspot’s Edit hotspot page, enable Presence/Proximity for the hotspot. Submit the page.
  5. Switch to Analytics4WiFi dashboard.
  6. Go to the desired Analytics4WiFi hotspot’s Edit hotspot page.
  7. Under the ‘Webhooks’ section, configure to the following. Submit the page once complete.
    • Select the Webhook Endpoint based on your Marketing4WiFi environment and the API Token you selected in step 2. (US-A or US-B and Client or Operator)
    • API Token: Enter the API Token collected in step 2.
    • API Secret: Leave blank.
    • Webhook Status: Enabled
  8. The Marketing4WiFi platform will start populating Guest Profile data with Presence/Proximity data. Please see the Presence Campaign Rule Definitions for information on how to configure Presence Marketing Campaigns.

The Presence/Proximity integration from Analytics4WiFi will not work with Ruckus products as the data sent over is randomized so devices can not be connected to their Marketing4WiFi connections.
