If you forgot your admin password on a Mikrotik gateway, there are 2 ways to reset it:
- Hard-reset the gateway device and then re-setup the gateway as if it were new… OR
- Send a command script through the Smart WiFi Dashboard to reset it.
- In the Smart WiFi Dashboard, go to Hotspot>Gateways and edit the gateway that you want to reset the password to.
- Send the following script command with your new password to the gateway. (The gateway MUST be connected in order for it to receive the command). Then click ‘Run’.
